At NewGen Depot, we believe that building stronger communities goes beyond the products and services we provide. It also means giving back, supporting our neighbors, and contributing our time and resources to organizations making a meaningful difference.
In 2026, we strengthened our commitment to community involvement by supporting the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) through both a $10,000 donation and hands-on employee volunteering.
Supporting the Fight Against Hunger in New Jersey
The Community FoodBank of New Jersey plays an important role in addressing hunger and food insecurity throughout the state. Through its network of more than 800 local feeding partners, CFBNJ helps distribute food and other essential resources to individuals and families across New Jersey.
Recognizing the importance of this mission, NewGen Depot was proud to contribute $10,000 to CFBNJ in 2026 to help support its ongoing work.
For our team, however, giving back is about more than financial support. We also wanted our employees to have the opportunity to contribute their time directly to the community.
Our Team in Action at CFBNJ
On September 3, 2026, members of the NewGen Depot team volunteered with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, dedicating working hours to helping prepare food for distribution.
Working alongside other volunteers, our team helped pack approximately 400 one-pound bags of pasta. These products are distributed through CFBNJ's network of community partners and can be combined with vegetables, lean meats, fish, or legumes to help families prepare nutritious meals.
According to CFBNJ's post-event impact summary, our volunteer effort included:
-
3 NewGen Depot volunteers
-
6 total volunteer hours
-
Approximately 400 bags of pasta packed
-
An estimated 333 meals supported
We are proud that our employees were able to dedicate their time and energy to work that directly supports families and individuals experiencing food insecurity.
Giving Our Time as Well as Our Resources
Community involvement is an important part of the culture we continue to build at NewGen Depot. By allowing employees to dedicate working hours to volunteer activities, we want community service to be more than an occasional initiative. We want it to be something our team can actively participate in.
The experience at CFBNJ demonstrated what can be accomplished when businesses, nonprofit organizations, employees, and volunteers work together toward a shared purpose.
Every bag packed contributes to a much larger effort to make nutritious food more accessible to people throughout New Jersey.
Building More Than Spaces
NewGen Depot serves homeowners, contractors, designers, builders, and businesses with materials for improving and transforming spaces. But we also recognize that a strong business should contribute positively to the communities around it.
Our 2026 support of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey reflects that belief.
Through our $10,000 contribution, employee volunteer hours, and hands-on food-packing efforts, we are proud to support an organization working every day to address hunger throughout New Jersey.
We sincerely thank the Community FoodBank of New Jersey for welcoming our team and giving us the opportunity to participate in its mission. We also thank our employees who volunteered their time and represented NewGen Depot with care and dedication.
This is one step in our continued commitment to giving back, and we look forward to finding more opportunities to support the communities we serve.
Together, we can build stronger spaces, stronger connections, and stronger communities.
